Emaleigh and Liz came up for the Brantley Gilbert show a few weeks ago. We decided that we were going to shoot some photos before and Emaleigh’s would be a T.Swift-ish looking shoot. I think we got fairly close with some simple planning and a girl that already looks like her. Definitely more to come on this project as the weather gets warmer and we can get outside.

We have had some great weather this winter compared to year’s past with lots of bright blue skies. Here is a quick photo of the McKay Tower in downtown Grand Rapids against that pretty blue. I snapped this on the walk back to work after lunch with Erica on February 8th, 2010.

I had been waiting for this show for quite some time and it was everything that I hoped it would be. Union Guns got everything started around 8 and put on a great show as usual. I really think they are going to make some waves as time goes on and they get their music out there. Roy David Scott (formerly the Get The Cat band) was up next and put on another great segment of the show. There are 10 original tracks on the CD along with “Hooked on an 8 second ride” by Chris LeDoux. I had heard most of the songs before at various shows although it was nice to hear the final songs from the CD in a live setting. I definitely enjoy their music with the title track “County Line” and “Grab Another Gear” at the top of my list. Here is a small preview of the photos with the rest coming tomorrow.
